Geshe Lhakdor - Director - Ven. Geshe Lhakdor has served His Holiness the Dalai Lama as his translator and religious assistant since 1989. In this capacity he has accompanied His Holiness to many important conferences and forums throughout the world. He has translated numerous books by His Holiness from English to Tibetan and from Tibetan to English. Geshe Lhakdor is a trustee of the Foundation for Universal Responsibility, established by His Holiness. He is also the Director of the Central Archive of His Holiness, a member of the Advisory Board of the Institute of Tibetan Classics in Montreal, Canada, and an Honorary Professor at the University of British Columbia, Canada. He is now the Director of the Library of Tibetan Works and Archives and head of Science Education Project.

Tenzin Sonam - Supervisor - Mr. Tenzin Sonam has been working on this project since 2004. He is the overall in charge of the project which organizes annual science workshop for monks, and various translations of scientific materials into Tibetan. He graduated from Delhi University in year 2000.We worked as interpreter and translator for Science meet Dharma project at Sera monastery in south India for a year.

Bryce Johnson - Teachers co-coordinator - Dr. Bryce had been working with us since the beginning of this project. Over the years he had helped in organizing the annual science for monk’s workshop and especially in bringing experience science teachers to the workshop. He has a PhD in environmental science from UC Berkeley.

Sangye Tashi - Science Journal Editor - Mr. Sangey Tashi (Gomar) was born in Tibet and did his primary schooling in Tibet. After coming to India in 1996, he studied at TCV Suja and Upper TCV School respectively. There after the completion of schooling he joined IBD (Institute of Buddhist Dialectics) Sarah College and graduated in Tibetan Studies, including buddhist philosophy . In meantime he published two translated books namely, The HOUSE BY THE SEA and THE GENERAL STATEMENT OF SCIENCE in Tibetan. In year 2006, he joined LTWA Science section and is presently the editor of Tibetan “Science Journal” published Bi-annually.

Karma Tubten - Project Officer - Mr. Karma was born in Tibet and brought and educated in India. He has studied at three different TCV schools and got graduated from Delhi University. He joined LTWA last October 2006 as Life science translator.
